This day, we spent entirely at the beach. It was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. So relaxing and fun. I'd like to be able to do this once a week, if I could, please.
Here's a run of pictures from that day, where we headed to the beach right after breakfast, ate lunch at the house, went back to the beach until dinner at the house, and then back for a beach bonfire. Fabulousness.
Here was our laughable attempt at making the trek to the beach a little easier on Nick and I. We usually carried Xavier all the way, but let's face it - he's huge. Everyone else had gone down to the beach for the bonfire. Nick, X, and I were lagging behind. On our way out the door, I noticed Mallory's umbrella stroller sitting there, and suggested it may be a viable option to get us to the hill. We stuffed X in there (quite literally). Look at him. He looks ridiculous. He giggled the whole way, as if he realized what a stupid idea it was. And yes, he's wearing long sleeves/pants on July 13. Remember - the bugs were plentiful and huge.
The view at the top of the hill:
And from the bottom. I'm telling you, its a small miracle no one got hurt during the week.
Bonfire on the beach ... one fantastic memory :-)
S'mores!!
